WAAL, NAACP HOSTING A PANEL ON CHILDREN'S COURT

WAAL, NAACP HOSTING A PANEL ON CHILDREN'S COURT

The Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers and the NAACP Milwaukee Branch partner to host a panel discussion for members of the general public and attorney's on navigating children's court.

MILWAUKEE, WI , November 17, 2018 - The Wisconsin Association of African of African-American Lawyers (WAAL) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Milwaukee Branch will host a panel entitled "Children and the System: A Discussion of CHIPS, TPR and Children's Court." A panel of experts will discuss how to navigate children's court, termination of parental rights (TPR) cases, and children in need of protection and/or services (CHIPS) cases.

The event moderated by Attorney T.R. Williams of Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association will feature Attorney Carmen Ortiz of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, Attorney Brittany Grayson of the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, Attorney Nadya Perez Reyes of the State Public Defender's Office, and Commissioner Maria Dorsey of Milwaukee County.

Children and the System: A Discussion of CHIPS, TPR and Children's Court will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 12:30pm at the NAACP Milwaukee Branch Office in Milwaukee, WI. The panel will take place immediately following the NAACP General Meeting.

Attorneys and members of the general public are welcome to attend.
