National Commission of Voter Justice Wisconsin State Hearing Recap

On June 21st, WAAL joined the National Commission of Voter Justice to host a state hearing on voter rights at the Milwaukee Bar Association. Members Atty. James Hall and Justice Louis Butler, Jr. served as commissioners at the hearing. Other commissioners included: National Bar Association President Juan Thomas, NAACP of Milwaukee President Fred Royal, Journalist John Nichols, Alderman Ashanti Hamilton, and State Representative Fred Kessler. Atty. Barbara Arnwine of the Transformative Justice Coalition and Co-Chair of the National Commission of Voter Justice hosted and organized the event along with Yolanda Coly of Coly Advocacy.
