2013 VelanDale Scholarship Dinner Blazing Your Own Path : The New Rules of Success

WAAL's 2013 VelanDale Scholarship Banquet will be held on Thursday, June 13 in the Grand Salon at the Intercontinental Hotel. This year's keynote speaker will be Atty. Ricky Anderson, Managing Partner of the Law Firm of Anderson & Smith, P.C., in Houston, Texas. Mr. Anderson focuses his practice in the area of Entertainment Law, with such high profile clientele as Steve Harvey, Isaiah Washington, Yolanda Adams and Rickey Smiley to name a few.

This year's theme, "Blazing Your Own Path: The New Rules of Success" was born out of the disruption that has become commonplace in today's society. We all know that we live in uncertain times, but we also sense that the old assumptions are no longer valid. There has been a shift in the legal landscape. The rules have changed. Now, success belongs to those who will challenge convention and follow their own path.

Atty. Anderson's career path embodies this year's theme. Two years out of law school, he started his own successful practice and never looked back. As such, Atty. Anderson was the perfect choice to instruct, inspire and uplift the Wisconsin legal community as this year's keynote speaker.Please join us as Atty. As part of the annual scholarship banquet, WAAL presents one of its members with the 'Member of the Year' award.
