“Add diversity to your blueprint” was the theme of the night at the Driver of Diversity Awards reception on Saturday, October 15. More than 200 people gathered for the annual event which honored six local individuals and corporations making a positive impact in Milwaukee.

The awards, presented by ONE MKE and United Way’s Diversity Leadership Society, highlights individuals and corporations who make outstanding contributions to diversity in Greater Milwaukee.

The 2016 winners included:

  • BMO Harris Bank, Company of The Year

Another big highlight of the night was United Way’s announcement of a newly-created position within its organization. Reed will be responsible for expanding United Way’s partnership with community-based organizations, law enforcement, education, and health system leaders to collectively address and close the gaps on critical issues boys and men of color face such as poverty and financial hardships. Before accepting this new role, Reed was the manager of 27 programs within 24 agency program partners in United Way’s Income Portfolio.
