Join the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers (WAAL) on Thursday, September 6th for the 28th Annual VelanDale Scholarship Dinner at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee. Our theme for the evening, as well as for 2019, will be "Lift As We Climb", as we acknowledge the contributions of Vel and Dale Phillips to the legal community, both as public servants, activists, and mentors.
We are excited to announce this year's guest and keynote speaker, April Miller Boise, SVP, Chief Legal Officer, & Corporate Secretary of Meritor, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, and manufacturer of automobile components for military suppliers, trucks, and trailers.
This dinner is an opportunity to celebrate and honor the achievements of the late Vel and Dale Phillips, as well as the next generation of Wisconsin lawyers. We hope that you will join us for an evening of celebration, scholarship, and excellence with friends and colleagues throughout Wisconsin.
