National Commission for Voter Justice Wisconsin State Hearing

The National Commission for Voter Justice (NCVJ) invites you to attend the Wisconsin State Hearing on Saturday, July 21st from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Milwaukee Bar Association.

A panel of experts will discuss Wisconsin specific issues related to voter rights, voter suppression, voter intimidation, and voter disenfranchisement. This event invites anyone who has had issues voting in the last election to speak on their experiences.

The event will also touch on returning citizen population voting barriers; disability access; state and county elections administration; environmental justice; homlesess peoples' barriers; language access; voting barriers for the LGBTQIA community; special voting barriers faced by women, Asian-American people, and African immigrants; youth/pre-registration; Automated Voter Registration, and more!

This event is co-sponsored by the Milwaukee National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers (WAAL), the National Council for Negro Women, the Milwaukee Bar Association (MBA), the Transformative Justice Coalition, and the ACLU Voter Rights Project.
